Dr. Ivanov loves helping his patients improve their oral health and regain confidence in their smile. He has been following his passion since his late teens when his interest in dentistry was sparked by his older brother- well renown restorative dentist.
Dr. Ivanov graduated from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2004. Since then, he has been continually advancing his clinical skills by participating in various programs organized by leading dental educators and applying the latest technologies in his practice.
He worked as an associate dentist for several years in Milford, MA. Since 2011 he has been practicing in his own office in historic downtown Salem, MA.
Dr. Ivanov is a member of the International Dental Implant Association (currently holding a Fellowship status), the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and North Shore District Dental Society. He speaks English and Bulgarian.
His interests besides dentistry include spending time with his wife, son, and daughter, as well as various outdoor activities such as mountaineering, hiking, biking, and running.

My upper jaw crown fell off and Dr Ivanov found the time to see me the same day. He returned the crown to the original place and he and his staff including Kira and his assistant Daniela did an outstanding and skillful job.

Dr Ivanov is simply the best (hands down). First, his bedside manner is beyond reproach. Despite my last minute questions feeling like overkill, his patient response (and gentle touch) went a long way in helping me “cope”. Today, I needed a back molar extraction and initial implant “prep” on the area in front of the one being removed. I naturally thought the worst part would be the “screw-down” procedure, but after he pulled the bad tooth and exclaimed “It’s a Boy!”, it was all smooth-sailing from there!! He helped calm my anxiety level so much, that it was only after he was about 90% done in drilling the implant when I realized just how far along he was!! Thank you, Dr Ivanov!!!

I have never had such a positive experience at a dentist office! Dr.Ivanov and everyone there (dental assistants and receptionist) are very kind and reassuring. I had a tooth extracted and they checked in throughout the entire procedure. They also made sure I was fully informed about the procedure, what insurance covered, and out of pocket costs. I highly recommend!

Dr. Ivanov has been our family dentist for over 15 years now and he is the best Dentist in Mass! My family and my parents are all his patients. Today my father went in with a tooth ache and doctor Ivanov did an X-ray, determined there was a cavity under his bridge crown. He then proceeded with removing the bridge and treating the tooth. He did an amazing job!
